It still is amazing to me that Kansas City will soon have a temple. Who would have ever thought that would be a reality! I was able to participate with my dear friend and faithful walking partner, Cheryl. We had been in-training for a year...not like 5K is much of a distance, but we were ready!
On our route missionaries and others lined the road passing out water and cheering everyone on to the finish line! I must say Cheryl and I were awesome...we even ran part of the way and pushed ourselves to pass whoever was in front of us.
